Anneleen Lenaerts will release her new trio album French Trios on 23 October, recorded with flautist Adam Walker and violist Timothy Ridout. The album brings together chamber works rooted in the French tradition by Debussy, Ravel, Vierne and Ibert, alongside music by Belgian composer Joseph Jongen, and features several works arranged for flute, viola and harp, including arrangements by Wouter Lenaerts.
The repertoire spans around half a century, from works by Debussy and Vierne dating from the 1890s to Jacques Ibert’s Deux Interludes, composed in 1946. Also included are Ravel’s Ma mère l’Oye in an arrangement for the trio, Vierne’s 2 Pièces for Viola and Piano, Op. 5, and Jongen’s 2 Pièces en trio, Op. 80.
Wouter Lenaerts arranged Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune and two movements from Ma mère l’Oye for flute, viola and harp, while Ravel’s Sonatine appears in an arrangement by the 20th-century harpist Carlos Salzedo. Anneleen has long explored the possibilities of arrangements and transcriptions for harp, including her own arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.
French Trios was recorded in Vienna in June 2025 and March 2026, reflecting the musical understanding the three musicians have developed since their first collaboration in 2019.

Anneleen Lenaerts performs Reinhold Glière’s Harp Concerto in E-flat major, Op. 74 this August, touring across Austria and Germany with the Angelika Prokopp Sommerakademie der Wiener Philharmoniker under conductor Martin Rajna.
The tour includes concerts at the Kongress Palais Kassel on 12 August and the Konzerthaus Berlin on 14 August. Anneleen then performs at Schloss Esterházy in Eisenstadt on 16 August, before concluding the tour at the Mozarteum in Salzburg on 19 August.
Composed in 1938, Glière’s Harp Concerto remains a cornerstone of the harp repertoire. Anneleen has performed and recorded the work extensively, including on her acclaimed Warner Classics recording, and continues to be one of its leading interpreters on the international stage.

Anneleen Lenaerts returns to South Korea this July for a three-city tour, with performances in Seoul, Daegu and Busan.
The tour opens on 2 July with a solo recital at the Seoul Arts Center’s IBK Chamber Hall. On 3 July, Anneleen is joined by soprano Sumi Hwang for a recital at Daegu Suseong Artpia, before concluding the tour with a solo recital at the Busan Shinsegae on 4 July.
The programme features Mozart’s Fantasia in D minor, Zabel’s Fantaisie on Gounod’s Faust, Anneleen’s own fantasy on themes from Puccini’s La Bohème, Dvořák’s Song to the Moon from Rusalka, and Smetana’s The Moldau. The Daegu recital with Sumi Hwang also includes songs and opera arias by Richard Strauss and Puccini.

Anneleen Lenaerts will host a week of harp masterclasses from 22–29 May 2026 at POLAS in Kalamata, Greece, a beautiful multidisciplinary arts and wellness space located directly on the seafront (www.polas.gr).
The course is designed for advanced young professional harpists aged 18 and above who are eager to explore sound, musical expression and interpretation in an intensive and inspiring setting. Participants are asked to prepare a minimum of five pieces to work on during the masterclass and for performance at the end of the course.
A small group of active participants will work closely with Anneleen throughout the week. Auditors are also welcome to attend the sessions.
The course fee for active participants includes accommodation at POLAS, practice harps, daily brunch and evening meals, snacks, and group transfers from Athens airport to Kalamata and back.

Under the artistic direction of Anneleen Lenaerts — who has shaped the Big Little Music Competition and Festival since its inception three years ago — the competition reaches its final rounds on 22–23 January, followed by the chamber music festival on 24–25 January in Ghent.
The festival brings together pianist Olli Mustonen, guitarist Sean Shibe, violinist Yamen Saadi, violist Sara Ferrández, and cellist Alexander Warenberg. Anneleen appears in two programmes, including the collective and spontaneous closing concert.
Conceived as a platform to support emerging chamber music ensembles, Big Little Music emphasises artistic exchange and mentorship, linking the competition’s final rounds with masterclasses and festival performances.
